David Preece was a good guy and gifted footballer, it is a fitting tribute that Luton Town have named the family stand after him.'The David Preece Stand'
RIP

When I was a boy I was short like Preece, so always pretended to be him playing football down the green.

He had got the all clear from cancer two years ago (I think the same form of it that took the legendary David Rocastle from us six years back). Not sure though. He was taken into hospital with a throat infection or something on the Monday and died on the Friday. Hope that helps

Great vid NobbyDVD I liked Preece as a player, he was a good honest player that it was hard to dislike, was very sad to hear the news he had died esp at the age of only 44. Hopefully you guys will have a good season next year as a fitting tribute for him (though not against Forest) once again fantastic tribute vid. |
